Pori Moni is the pen name or the professional name of the famous Bangladeshi actress, originally called as Shamsunnahar Smriti. She was born on the 24th of October, 1992, in Shatkhira in Khulna, Bangladesh.
She had a rough childhood, wherein her parents died in early childhood and was raised by her grandfather. She started her career as a model in the country itself. Her debut movie is Rana Plaza, which was directed by Nazrul Islam Khan, but due to reasons it had a postponed release, due to which her first movie was actually named Bhalobasha Shimaheen, in the year 2015.
She also learnt dance from Bafa, situated in Dhaka, the capital of the country. Her renowned works also include four Bangla TV drama , for which she was highly appreciated and displayed some of the actor’s finest acting. In addition to that, she has also worked in some other films including Mohua Sundori, Rokto and Purey Jai Mon.
